There’s this moment in Haven 1x10 by the pool with Audrey and Nathan. Nathan’s just found out that Audrey is the only thing he can feel and earlier in the episode she gave him a high five. He’s walking close to her and she stops, putting her hands on the guard rail. He stops next to her and as she looks off into the distance talking about the murder they’re trying to solve and the Troubles affecting Haven, he looks down at her hands and visibly holds his hand over hers. Her hands are just out of frame but the way Nathan hesitates in that moment is one of my favorite parts of the series to date.
Lucas Bryant blows me away as Nathan because he’s always finding ways to sneak stuff like this in, so even when Nathan gets a little goofier and shakes her hand almost immediately afterwards and looks so grateful, pleased, shocked, I’m stuck replaying that one look.
